Oil & Gas Technical Advisory Board Sets Subcommittee Meetings On Act 13 Drilling Reg Updates

The Department of Environmental Protection’s Oil and Gas Technical Advisory Board will be convening subcommittees to discuss recommendations concerning the draft proposed rulemaking implementing the environmental protection provisions of the Act 13 Marcellus Shale drilling law in Chapter 78.  (formal notice)
Four subcommittees have been established and will discuss matters concerning public resource protection, pre-hydraulic fracturing assessment, waste management at well sites and water supply restoration standards.
These subcommittee meetings will be open to the public.
The first round of subcommittee meetings is scheduled to be held on July 17 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on July 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Westmoreland County Conservation District—Donohoe Center, 218 Donohoe Road, Greensburg.  Click Here for the agenda.
The second round of subcommittee meetings are scheduled for August 14 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on August 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Nittany Room, Ramada Inn State College, 1450 South Atherton Street, State College, PA 16801.
The final subcommittee meetings will be held on September 18 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on September 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 105, Rachel Carson State Office Building, 400 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101.
